1. According to Antique Dealings Act, under police control, seller is required to present public ID certificates such as driver's license or health insurance card when displaying items at JEX gem galley.
2. JEX only handles authentic product. We may return the product, if we found it to be fake or not meeting our standard. You will have to pay for the inspection fee and other costs in these situations.
3. The decision as to whether or not to accept the product which you want to display at JEX Gem Galley belongs to JEX.
4. In the case the price of the gem including brokerage commission and tax is over 115,000 yen ( this is equivalent to JEX original price at 100,000 yen when consumption tax was 5%), an authentification certificate or grading report will be required at the transaction to prove its authenticity. You will be responsible for covering these costs.
5. Even if you have already provided an authentification certificate or grading report we may re-examine the product . In addition, even for items under 115,000 yen, we may need them to be examined by our designated identification institutes by “sorting”, to assure their authenticity. We will ask for your consent, but you will have to bear the inspection fee.
6. Items currently on mortgage can not be displayed at JEX Gem Galley since the ownership belongs to the credit company until the mortgage is paid off. Once it is paid off the item can then be displayed.
7. In regards to watches, we only accept jewelry watches made of precious metal. As a rule, we clean the parts before delivering the watch after the transaction. In this case, you will have to pay for the cost. In addition, if the battery runs out while the watch is on display, we may change the battery to prevent the damage inside the watch without notifying you. In this case, you will also have to pay for the cost (we will do our best to contact you afterward).
   If you have a certificate proving that the watch has been disassembled and cleaned within 3 months from the date it was sold at JEX galley, the cleaning fee will be exempted. However, even in this case, you will bear the repair costs for natural defects (consumables despite normal use or other non-circuit related defects) occured within 3 months of the transaction, even after the sales proceeds have been remitted to you.
   It is impossible to anticipate the length of life of a quartz watch’s circuit, it may stop while being on display. In this case, we ask you to decide whether to repair the item and continue the sale or to cancel the sale. If you choose to repair your watch, you will bear the repair cost. If there is no buyer after 6 months, we may ask you to take back your watch.
8. You are responsible for compensation of damages and losses incurred by JEX as a result of your failure to disclose any important information.
